Hey everyone! I wanted to announce that for the next two weeks I am going to be offering Moxxi Minis! Moxxi Minis are what I oh so cleverly (;D) named these mini portrait sessions. The money I make from these sessions will be going toward my sweet little puppy(AKA Moxxi)s vet bills after she decided she would like to better acquaint herself with the fender of an on coming car =P I know that must sound horrible but the light hearted-ness of that comment is because she will be just fine and I am just so so so very relieved =]

Playing at her favorite place in the entire world, the beach!
Moxxi Minis! Your session will include:
- 15 minutes for $15! Location of choice + 5 high resolution pics in the Moxxi Mini gallery!
- 30 minutes for $30! Location of choice + 10 high resolution pics in the Moxxi Mini gallery!

So this morning I was lucky enough to get to shoot the Rosecrans =] Such a cute family! They were so great working with, very easy going and didn’t mind jumping into the chilly water! Which was totally my favorite part. Here’s just a small sneak peak:
[Gallery not found]It’s always fun to experiment. I’ve worked with lots of mountains etc but this was the first time asking someone else, someone I hardly know, to just dump their kids in a river haha for the sake of photography, let it be so! There’s something about the distant oranges in the rippled water that really just completes the pictures. I love it. Another experiment was playing with some new post-processes, mostly split-toning. It’s marvelous! I used to think it was witchery but I’ve since been swayed. I don’t typically try to do much in post because many times less is more and love natural the warmth of skin tones against cool backgrounds but it’s nice to change things up sometimes =]
Quite literally ;] I just got back from an awesome family session…these guys were so much fun to shoot! I know sometimes people get nervous in front of the camera…but they did not hold back, and the images are fantastic! Very…colorful haha What a great family =]
[Gallery not found]Now, I’m not sure if they have a bubble machine in their backyard all the time…but now I totally want a bubble machine for mine! Because bubbles (and bowties) are cool.
Okay okay…no more puns or Dr. Who references…just enjoy the sneak peek!
Or something like that anyway! If you’ve seen my work before, you know I love body-painting. Well, my husband and I have been watching a lot of Dr. Who lately and I must say it’s rubbed off on me. Considering the 1.5 hours I had to paint this, it’s not even close to the amount of detail I wanted to create—but I LOVE the end result given the time constraint.
Thank you to my lovely model, who 1) let me paint on him 2) WAXED HIS CHEST so I could paint on him and 3) stood outside shirtless in the cold and drizzle =]
