We love our community.  Everyday we are trying new ways to become more involved in helping our friends, the families, and businesses in our area. Sarah Page Photography reaches out and provides photographic, design, and artistic services to those who need it most.

What are we doing right now?

• Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep
  NILMDTS is an NPO providing remembrance photography to families suffereing the loss of an infant. We are an Affiliated Photographer for this amazing organization.
• Safe Haven Humane Society
  Safe Haven is a local NPO that provides shelter, food, medical to neglected and unwanted animals. Once they heal them, they give them a second chance at a happy life with a loving family. We provide photographs of animals as they come in to the shelter to put on the website and help with events when needed.
• The City of Albany
  We are always on the look out for city events offering a helping hand. Whether it’s taking pics at the Farmers Market and sending them to the City for promotional use or participating in city events, we like to be a part of it. We’ve attempted to join the Albany Arts Commission to no avail (we must be too young ;] ) but most recently we took part in the Albany Wine Walk. We set up a photo-booth-esque in the historic JC Penny building in downtown and took pictures free of charge.

What are our future goals?
Even though it may seem like an impossible dream right now, one day we hope to open up a gallery in downtown Albany, Oregon. This gallery will not only be a studio for us to photograph in…but it will showcase the work of other local artists. Photographs, paintings, sculptures from artists of all ages and skill levels…from Pre-K to college fine art majors & ametuers to pros. I want to hold workshops where I can teach and have guest artists come to teach and share their story with us. But most importantly, I want the gallery to be an interactive hands-on learning experience for the kids. There will be an area just for them to make a mess!

We also want to start an annual art festival for the Willamette Valley. Artists and kids from all over the valley can come to share their work and experience others’ work. Think of the county fair, but with a focus on art!

What have we done in the past?
Before we moved to Oregon, we were very active in our community in Houston, TX. We participated in several art fairs, street festivals, school fundraisers, and even taught art to under-privileged schools.

Photography is our passion but it lives within our hearts. We strive to help others with the set of skills we have, in whatever little way we can. To make a better, more beautiful and involved world with only two people may be impossible…but if we inspire a few here and there, who knows how many more they will inspire, and how many they will inspire, and so on.
